FaxingEmailing: Our action campaigns often involve sending faxes and emails to decision makers. When you send a fax or email, the fax/email form requires personal identifying information, as would any fax or letter. Your name and mailing address will appear at the end of the fax or email. Joining: When you join Local Impact on the "join" page, you will be asked for personal contact information. The information you enter is collected and retained by Local Impact. Local Impact will not share this information. Your contact information will be used exclusively for the purpose of LI communicating with you. Email Alerts: When you sign up to Join LI, you will receive periodic updates by email. When you send a fax or email through LI, you will receive email updates unless you uncheck the 'keep me informed' box (or similarly named box) on the fax/email form. You can unsubscribe at any time. Online Donations: Online donations to LI are collected through a third party service. The donation will appear as DemocracyInAction on your credit card statement. Donations to Local Impact are not tax deductible. Changes to this Policy: LI reserves the right to change this policy.
